Goal

Photograph Shemmagh Al Rayyan's traditional headwear the way a heritage craft deserves — precise studio product shots that show weave, texture and detail without losing the sense of craftsmanship.

Problem Statement

Shemmagh Al Rayyan makes traditional Qatari shemaghs and gahfiyas — pieces where the value is in the weave, the pattern and the handwork, details that get lost in flat, poorly lit product photography. The brand needed a catalogue that could sit across product pages, print and seasonal campaigns (Eid included) without the craftsmanship reading as an afterthought.

Our Approach

We shot every piece in a controlled studio setup against a deep, consistent backdrop, lighting each one to bring out weave texture and fine embroidery detail rather than flattening it. The same lighting and angle system carried across the full catalogue and into seasonal drops, so new pieces and Eid-specific releases always matched the existing library.

What We Did

  • Photography: Shot studio product photography for the full shemagh and gahfiya catalogue, angled to show weave and stitch detail.

  • Videography: Produced short-form films for seasonal and monthly releases, cut to match the catalogue's tone.

  • Art direction: Set a consistent backdrop, lighting and framing system so catalogue and seasonal Eid content stayed visually unified.

  • Content delivery: Produced ongoing seasonal content batches, including dedicated Eid collection photography.

Results

Shemmagh Al Rayyan has a growing, consistent product catalogue that reads as heritage craftsmanship rather than generic e-commerce photography — usable across product pages, print and recurring seasonal campaigns.
