Al Khattiya

Photography and videography for a Doha heritage house, shot and edited end to end

About this project

Client: Al Khattiya

Services: Photography, Videography & Post-Production, Art Direction

Mediums used: Photography, Vertical Campaign Film, Color Grading

Give Al Khattiya a visual library — stills and film — that could carry the brand across product pages, print and social, all shot by one team so nothing feels stitched together.

Al Khattiya is a Doha-based house built on Qatari craft — fine embroidery and bisht-making, extending into fragrance. Brands like this usually end up with mismatched visuals: a photographer for the product shots, a separate videographer for social, a third pass in post to make it all look like one brand. Al Khattiya needed the opposite — a single team behind both the camera and the edit, so the stills and the films could actually look like they belonged to the same house.

We ran photography and videography as one production, not two bookings. The same lighting setup, the same sets, the same director's eye carried across both mediums, so a still frame and a film frame could sit side by side without looking like different projects. On the photography side, that meant lighting product, detail and lifestyle shots to hold up at print resolution. On the video side, it meant directing and operating camera on location, then carrying that same footage through our own color grade and edit — no handoff to an outside editor to reinterpret the shoot.

  • Photography: Shot product stills, in-hand detail shots and lifestyle portraiture on location, lit and composed to match the films' palette.
  • Videography: Directed and shot vertical campaign films on location — framing everyday brand moments as unhurried scenes rather than cut-heavy ads.
  • Post-production: Graded and edited every film ourselves — color, pacing and sound design tuned to sit alongside the stills as one body of work.
  • Art direction: Chose sets, props and wardrobe so every frame, still or moving, reinforced the same craft-heritage feel rather than generic product advertising.

Al Khattiya came away with a matched set of stills and films it can run everywhere — product pages, print, Instagram and TikTok — without the usual seams between "the photos" and "the video." Because one team held the camera for both, there was no color or tone mismatch to fix afterward, and no separate photographer/videographer briefs to reconcile. It's the case for why we run photography and videography together rather than as two separate services.
